
Marnie Douglas is a Physiotherapist who completed her studies at The University of Sydney. Marnie's clinical experience has been gained through her work at one of Sydney's largest teaching and diagnostic hospitals. Marnie's specialist interests are broad, yet highly focused. Her interests include the prevention and treatment of workplace and sporting injuries as well as general physiotherapy care within the broader community.
Her strong analytical and problem solving skills allow her to recognise and address individual needs and establish appropriate strategies to accommodate these needs. By combining her knowledge of anatomy, physiology and an understanding of the working environment, Marnie is able to personalise a program to ensure an optimal physical performance for all clients.
Marnie has strong communication and interpersonal skills. These allow her to quickly establish a rapport with her clients and present individual treatments through a holistic approach.
Qualifications:
Sue is a Physiotherapist with over 10 years experience. She qualified at The University of Teesside, in the UK and has worked in both the NHS and private practice in England as well as in Australia.
She is experienced in working with workplace and sporting injuries. She is also qualified to practice Acupuncture and uses this as an effective treatment for pain relief and many musculoskeletal problems.
Sue has strong interpersonal skills, which enable her to build a good rapport with clients, and work together to achieve optimal outcomes.
Sue has a keen interest in sport, particularly running, which she has been involved in for a number of years.
Qualifications:
On completion of physiotherapy, through the University of Sydney, Claire has worked in a variety of disciplines, orthopaedics and trauma, women’s and paediatrics, hydrotherapy and rehabilitation, before settling into private practice with a focus on sporting injuries, their rehabilitation with special attention to fitness and conditioning to return the elite and everyday athlete to peak physical condition.
Claire has a special interest in treating a wide variety of sports injuries, especially rugby union, hockey; both field and ice, and snow sports, with particular attention to lower limb injuries and biomechanics.
She has gained certificates in various areas of specialisation including dry needling (musculoskeletal based form of acupuncture) and approaches her treatment holistically, focusing on the cause of the injury as well as the injury its self.
Adriana graduated from the University of Sydney with a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy. Her honours thesis and research titled “Bilateral associations of poor unilateral performance: An unremarked aspect of limb control” is currently awaiting publication.
Adriana’s passion and interests involve holistic care of both the recreational and elite athlete; varying her focus to incorporate injury prevention, general conditioning and acute and long term rehabilitation post injury.
Her clinical experience has largely been gained through work with Sydney’s AFL community, engaging in sports coverage and implementing injury prevention programs with teams such as the UTS Bats.
A regular participation in courses and lectures for practicing physiotherapists, allows Adriana to utilize current evidence based treatments to ensure the most effective treatments are delivered to patients.
